Well life just gets more and more interesting!
It is now a full day since I left ICELE and things just get more intriguing and interesting! One day I will be able to talk openly about all the happenings of the recent past but for now I will concentrate on the positive!
It was really nice to get communications from people I have worked with in the past, expressing sadness and concern at my rather sudden departure. People who read my blog, people who just heard on the grapevine (that one that seems to produce quite a lot of whine!) or people I have been close to who just heard. And so many people are being so supportive - offers of work, suggestions for businesses, offers of help to get set up and so many good wishes. I suppose my main aim at the moment is to work out what exactlyI want to do and then how I do it.
I really want to continue to work in the field of democratic participation - particularly around the EU and around accountability and accessibility. I have had some really interesting conversations with people in positions where they can make a difference to this effect. I think at the moment that I will concentrate on pulling together a really good EU project around accessibility, especially if I can work in EU decision-making processes, which will set up the vision and direction for my company.
What is my biggest challenge today? What the heck should I call my company??
Anyone with a bright idea??
