From North Lincs to Lichfield
Well it seems it is official now.... ICELE is moving from North Lincs to Lichfield the home of the Working with Business Project. I wish Rita every bit of luck possible with the taking forward of the objectives - be interesting to see if they have changed at all!
Lichfield DC have released a press notice providing the info for everyone to see. Lichfield is the home of Cllr Matthew Ellis, someone I have great respect for and was sad at his lack of reaction to my leaving. Cllr Ellis is the deputy leader at Lichfield and now I gather the Chair of ICELE, and a damn good one he will make too!
My heart stays with the staff at North Lincs though. Fortunately I had the good news that my PA - many of you will know Helen, has taken a post as PA to the Head of Childrens Services. She is excellent at her job and I wish her all the luck and happiness in the world - she deserves it. As for the rest - well so far only redundancy is looming. And not a lot of redundancy either!
That has been the worst bit of all as a result of my leaving ICELE. I wish that part could have been very different!
Oh dear a bit of a sad blog this one. Never mind, one door closes and another one opens... maybe it is time to start ICELE mark 2 with the aims and objectives I would have wanted it to have and without all the controversy! Anyone want to join??
